Thank you so much to everyone who came out on Friday and supported our Grand Opening. It was such a success and it wouldn’t have happened with out YOU! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We had such a wonderful time all day. From the ribbon cutting to announcing our iPad 2 winner (Lindsay Sattelle) it was a SWEET day with tons of fun holiday festivities! As most of you know, we had a hidden golden ticket in a cupcake on Friday. Unfortunately, no one claimed it! L We are going to wait till Wednesday, and if no one claims the ticket by then, we will have another golden ticket contest. The winner must bring the golden ticket to SWEET and let us know which cupcake it was in! In the meantime, here are some pictures taken on Friday!

One more thing, this SWEET week brings a new holiday inspired flavor! Gingerbread Christmas: gingerbread cake with a cinnamon cream cheese filling and a chocolate rum butter cream! Yes. It is Christmas in your mouth!

The definition of reSWEET is: to show appreciation or gratitude to someone in the form of cupcakes. It’s a minimum of a dozen order and we can deliver for you! SWEET boxes come wrapped in our signature ribbon, a SWEET sticker, and a menu. Just make sure you let us know 24 hours in advance!

We will be closed on Thursday (11/24), Friday (11/25), as well as Saturday (11/26) and will reopen on Monday (11/28)! This past Friday, we had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of The Taste of Greater Lake City at the National Bean Market Museum. It was a blast! We met tons of cool people and had some really good food! We offered minis in Paint The Town Red Velvet, Blackout, Night & Day, Confused, The White House, and Salted Caramel. Thanks again to Greater Lake City for letting us be a part of a fun night!

As some of you may know, we have changed up our menu a bit. With the holidays right around the corner, we have been baking some yummy weekly flavors! Last week was the Sweet Potato cupcake and it was absolutely delish! Next week, per many requests, we will be bringing back the Pumpkin Pecan! Since it has been so popular, you may want to call ahead and reserve your order! We have New Fall Flavors: Apple Harvest and the Banana Pudding. The Apple Harvest is: A festival of Granny Smith apple pieces mixed into a brown sugar cupcake, topped with a candied pecan streusel and a cinnamon buttercream. Oh. My. Cupcake.
This SWEET, deserving young cupcake needs a name. And a home.
And we are looking for a name for our new Banana Pudding flavor, which is reminiscent of a backyard summertime favorite, with a vanilla wafer base, supporting the weight of a rich, creamy banana pudding filling. Your spoon is probably already jealous.

Also, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: We have made hundreds of Vanilla Mini-Cupcakes with fresh, SWEETalicious raspberry frosting and pink ribbons for the “SWEET Cupcakes for a Cure,” with proceeds being donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer awareness.

Merry and bright and SWEET at the 2011 Merry Marketplace!
We were lucky enough to enjoy this year’s 2011 Florence Junior League’s Merry Marketplace at the Florence Civic Center, October 6-9th, with a Preview Party on Thursday night, where hundreds of cupcakes disappeared faster than you could say “Salted Caramel, please!”
Fabulously costumed dancers from local studios performed on stage, and even Santa himself made an appearance. It was a great event to kick off the holiday shopping season!
Finally, we are taking pre-orders for Halloween cupcakes. Halloween is on a Monday this year, so our guess is the kids will probably be having parties at school, in costume, on that day. (And then party on into the night…)

Today was a sunny, hot, September day, and we were busy beyond our wildest expectations. Thanks to everyone for their kind words and patience! As I write, I am still covered in caramel sauce, so you can rest assured it was a great day. I’ll rest assured, and ready to face more happy people in cupcake land tomorrow. The Salted Caramels and Paint The Town Red Velvets sold out all day long. No surprise there. But our other signature flavors also sold like hotcakes. That is, if hotcakes sell like cupcakes…
